當年在英國也有不少製作底片的小工作室，在後期藉由搭公司的整併與收購，逐漸統一成一個代表性的公司。當時像是以國家為單位，各自擁有自己的底片版圖。

執嘢，就會執到自己嘅過去。
我估有好多人唔知呢幾張係乜，又仲有幾多人知道咩叫菲林？
世事有它的邪，早前先有套電影《七人樂隊》，香港七大導演話要向菲林致敬，就執到一份咁嘅嘢出嚟。
呢份係我大學一年班讀Photography 嘅：Development times for black and white films。好明顯係戰前嘅嘢。
乜嘢菲林，用什麼溫度、藥水、稀釋比例、仲有時間、步驟。Kodak、Fuji、Agfa、仲有我心愛的Ilford。(影黑白相超靚）
當年杜可風是Agfa顧問、《阿飛正傳》就是用愛克發拍成的。
吳靄儀說她有indulgent parents讓她放肆任性地讀書，我父母也不錯，由我讀很多唔等洗，只要我喜歡的科目，包括art history同philosophy 。很多人讀工商管理什麼的，都是為了將來的職業，會計醫生什麼的，為了做專業人士，我，冇出息，就因為喜歡。現在仍頑固地保留了一筒過期的Ilford。
現在見到很多人的相，都是味精相機的千篇一律，於我看是另一種膠；有的自己亂打燈曝光全錯、或者色tone 亂調我看到會暗裡抓狂，寶寶當然忍住不說。（有次吃晚飯，旁邊的人忽然驚呼狂叫，你啲相用電話影嘅咋咩，完全無法相信。我心諗，食餐飯啫，你估真係要拎個大道具出嚟先影到相咩，構圖不靠硬件）
但讀攝影影響至深，不是技術冲印黑房等等(待得耐會覺得自己一陣藥水味返屋企），永遠，是第一堂第一本書，祖師奶奶Susan Sontag的《On Photography》。

One of things I love most about film photography is being able to shoot different film stocks that give different looks. However, I am looking for my "dessert island" film choice and I've found my colour film. I'm experimenting with different black and white stocks and this round we're trying Ilford Delta 400. I actually enjoyed shooting with this BW film! Took it around Cheras and Pasar Seni, Malaysia.
