Introverts should replenish yang and dispel cold
Introverts tend to be quiet, do not talk as much, and can be emotional. Some friends would even describe them as timid as a lamb. While some are born introverts, others can became so due to their body constitution.
If symptoms such as pale complexion, cold limbs, high urination volume, loose stools, or even undigested food in stools occur, then the individual likely have a yang-deficient body constitution. The lack of the yang energy is like the lack of fuel for the body. Hence, the body would become weak and develop aversion to cold of cold. This is why certain people become introverted and emotionally easily.
Individuals with a yang-deficient body constitution should replenish the yang and dispel cold. They should bask in the sun once in a while during summer and nourish the body during winter.
Consume ingredients that are warm in nature such as mutton, raw ginger, Korean ginseng, maitake mushroom. Avoid eating and drinking raw and cold foods and beverages, and avoid overworking. Exercise moderately and regularly such as taichi, brisk walking, and carrying out stretching exercises. With an increase in yang energy in the body, our personality can become more cheerful.

🙅🏻♂️ 吃冰 / 喝凍飲
有些人夏天離不開凍飲,甚至把冰塊含在嘴裡慢慢咬,冰塊確有消暑功效但要適可而止,凍飲屬生冷食物,多喝會損傷陽氣,脾胃運化水液的功能全憑陽氣推動,故凍飲會使脾胃運化水液功能減退,令寒濕內生,會慢慢形成小肚腩,亦容易導致經痛、水腫、黑眼圈、臉色暗啞等問題。
⭕ 消暑好習慣:喝一杯西瓜汁或椰青水,消暑解渴。

夏天消暑少不了風扇與冷氣機,踏入室內立刻迎頭對着高速冷風其實亦屬風邪的一種,天氣炎熱令毛孔張開,風邪多從皮毛而入,容易導致頭痛、咳嗽、鼻敏感、甚至面癱等症狀。

🙅🏻♂️ Drink iced/cold beverages
Some people cannot live without cold drinks, and they even enjoy chewing on ice cubes. Though ice cubes might help relieve heat, they should not be consumed excessively. Iced or cold drinks are raw and cold foods, and they can damage the yang energy. The spleen and stomach rely on the yang energy to circulate fluid in the body. Hence, drinking cold beverages can undermine the functions of these organs. This will further cause cold and dampness to accumulate in the body, and symptoms like abdominal bloating, menstrual pain, water retention, dark eye circles, and a lackluster complexion might develop.
⭕ Tip: drink a glass of watermelon or coconut juice to clear heat and quench thirst
🙅🏻♂️ Enjoy the coolness in front of the air conditioner vent
Fans and air conditioners are essential during summer. Standing in front of the cold air can cause the pathogenic factor of the wind to invade our body when the hot weather has expanded our pores. Individuals who do this might cough and experience headache, nasal allergy, or even facial paralysis.
⭕ Tip: keep a distance from the vent and avoid direct cold air from the air conditioner
🙅🏻♂️ Be topless
Do men in your family wear a shirt at home during summer? Many men tend to strip to be topless because they cannot stand the hot summer weather. Be careful not to catch a cold after sweating. The sun can easily damage the skin when we do not have our clothes when we are outdoors.

家庭酸梅湯
材料:
烏梅25粒
山楂300克
冰糖400克
桂花(可以不用)
處理:
1. 山楂,清水浸5分鐘。
2. 烏梅,放煲內,清水洗淨。
3. 加入清水7升。
4. 冰糖,清水洗淨,放入煲。
5. 山楂已浸好,清水沖洗2~3次,放入煲。
烹調:
1. 大火煲滾,滾3分鐘。
2. 轉中慢火,煲15分鐘。
3. 熄火,加入桂花半茶匙,冚蓋,焗1晚。
4. 完成,可以入樽。
Homemade sweet~sour plum soup
Ingredients:
Smoked plums 25 Nos.
Hawthorne 300g
Rock sugar 400g
Osmanthus (optional)
Preparation:
1. Hawthorne, soak in tap water for 5 minutes.
2. Smoked plums, put into pot. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Add tap water 7L.
4. Rock sugar, rinse with tap water. Put into pot.
5. Hawthorne has been soaked well, rinse with tap water 2~3 times. Put into pot.
Steps:
1. Heat up at high flame. Boil for 3 minutes.
2. Turn to medium~low flame. Boil for 15 minutes.
3. Turn off fire. Put osmanthus 0.5 tsp. Cover up the pot. Leave it overnight.
4. Complete. Store in bottles.

芒果草莓乳酪奶昔
材料:
芒果(細)2個
草莓2粒
乳酪80毫升
鮮奶180毫升
處理:

2. 草莓,洗淨,去椗,1開2。
程序:
1. 草莓及芒果肉,放入攪拌機內。
2. 加入乳酪1湯匙(約80毫升)。
3. 加入鮮奶180毫升。
4. 打勻。

香蕉草莓乳酪奶昔
材料:
香蕉1隻
草莓2粒
乳酪80毫升

Mango and strawberry yogurt
Ingredients:
Mangoes (small) 2 Nos.
Strawberries 2 Nos.
Yogurt 80ml

1. Mangoes, divide each mango into 2 shares, get the flesh with a stainless steel spoon.
2. Strawberries, get it rinsed. Remove anchors. Divide each strawberry into 2 shares.
Steps:
1. Flesh of strawberries and mangoes, put into blender.
2. Add in yogurt 1 tbsp (about 80ml).
3. Add in fresh milk 180ml.
4. Blend well.
5. Complete. Serve.
Banana and strawberry yogurt
Ingredients:
Banana 1 No.
Strawberries 2 Nos.
Yogurt 80ml
Fresh milk 180ml
Preparation:
1. Strawberries, get them rinsed and removed anchors. Divide each strawberry into 2 shares.
2. Banana, get it peeled and sliced.
Steps:
1. Flesh of strawberries and banana, put into blender.
2. Add in yogurt 1 tbsp (about 80ml).
3. Add in fresh milk 180ml.
4. Blend well.
5. Complete. Serve.

知足常樂(佛誕日)
材料:
粟米4支
紅蘿蔔4個(約1斤半)
支竹
白米半膠嘜
程序:
1. 支竹,清水浸軟。
2. 紅蘿蔔,清水浸,去除污泥。
3. 粟米,去皮,清水洗淨,取出粟米粒,粟米芯放入高速煲內,加入清水4升,用“濃香煲湯”功能,煲40分鐘。
4. 白米,清水浸。
5. 大火在煲內煲滾清水1升。
6. 紅蘿蔔,開住水喉,擦乾淨表皮。
7. 水已煲滾,放白米,攪動一下,轉中慢火,煲與煲蓋間留一條縫隙。
8. 從高速煲內夾起粟米,加入紅蘿蔔,繼續用“濃香煲湯”功能,煲40分鐘。
9. 粥已煲了十多分鐘,拿去筷子,攪動一下,加入粟米粒,加入滾水500毫升,攪勻,中火再煲滾。
10. 支竹已浸軟,清水沖洗乾淨,擎乾水。
11. 粥已滾起,轉中慢火,煲與煲蓋間留一條縫隙,煲15~20分鐘。
12. 支竹,剪大約3吋一段。
13. 粥已煲好,熄火,焗透。
14. 大火在鑊中燒熱油3湯匙。
15. 支竹,鋪好在鑊中。
16. 支竹,兩面已煎至金黃色,夾上碟。
17. 粟米粥,倒入大碗內。
18. 紅蘿蔔已煲腍,夾上碟。
19. 紅蘿蔔粟米水已煲好,冷、熱飲皆宜。
20. 完成,可享用。
Vegetarian meal on Buddhist day
Ingredients:
Sweet corn 4 Nos.
Carrots 4 Nos. (about 1.5 catty)
Bean curd
Plain rice 0.5 plastic cup
Steps:
1. Bean curd, soak in tap water until it turns soft.
2. Carrot, soak in tap water to remove mud on its surface.
3. Sweet corn, remove its skin. Rinse with tap water. Get the sweet corn cubes. Sweet corn core, is to be put in high speed cooker, add in water 4L. Use "porridge/soup" function, cook for 40 minutes.
4. Plain rice, soak in tap water.
5. Heat up water 1L at high flame in pot.
6. Carrots, brush it thoroughly under running tap.
7. Water boils up, put plain rice. Stir it. Turn to medium~low flame. Leave a gap between the pot and its lid.
8. Pick up the sweet corn from high speed cooker. Put carrots. Continue to boil 40 minutes more with "porridge/ soup" function.
9. Porridge has been cooked more than 10 minutes, take away chopsticks. Stir it. Add in sweet corn cubes, as well as boiled~up water 500ml. Stir well. Heat up at medium flame again.
10. Bean curd has been turned soft, rinse with tap water. Drain.
11. Porridge has been boiled up, turn to medium~low flame. Leave a gap between the pot and its lid. Cook for 15~20 minutes.
12. Bean curd, cut in lengths with 3" long.
13. Porridge has been cooked well, turn off fire.
14. Heat up oil 3 tbsp at high flame in wok.
15. Put bean curd in rows in wok.
16. Bean curd, both sides have been fried into golden yellow, put on plate.
17. Sweet corn porridge, is to be poured in a big bowl.
18. Carrots have been boiled well and turned soft, put on plate.
19. The carrot and sweet corn soup has been boiled well, cold or hot serving depends on personal favourite.
20. Complete. Serve.
