One of our favourite night activities is taking our flashlights and going to parks to hunt for bugs and animals.
@gardensbythebay has always been one of our favourite haunts because of the awesome night views, the huge space and the unexpected finds you get to see every now and then.
Last night, we armed ourselves with a dozen flashlights of all kinds - in case some ran out of battery - and started our adventure near 10pm. Haha. Most of the places were desserted so we were free to roam around and just explore. Our rule was while we can take photos and observe the animals, we do not disturb or move them around.
My little aspiring entomologist says she wants to start doing a scrapbook to document everything we hve discovered and that's a pretty cool idea, right?
The two younger ones were fascinated by the sprinklers and kept running alongside to feel the water - and get themselves wet. We walked for quite a long time till nearly midnight and surprisingly, they didn't complain much of fatigue though they would occasionally ask us to carry them for just a while.
So yup, it was one of those late nights for us again and while I can't say it's healthy or recommended, I am pretty sure these kids will remember these free, fun, fantastic family moments for a long, long time to come. And that's enough for me.
