前教育部副部長、全國人大教育科學文化衞生委員會副主任委員杜玉波指，港府應為教師劃定法律紅線，確保教師質素。前通識科教師楊子俊則指，國安界線「好多人都唔知個位喺邊」，而目前又未見《國安法》對香港有何正面影響，憂慮「劃定法律紅線」的做法會為教師帶來更大壓力，擔心被秋後算賬。
