As much as I’m enjoying unlimited family time this MCO, I won’t deny that it’s been challenging work-wise 💆🏻♀️ Both Boon and I are taking turns to lock ourselves in our study to get our conference calls and work done, because working in a common area is just impossible without getting distracted by a toddler calling mami mami mami and papa papa papa every other minute, and an infant on walker attacking the potted plants, playing with toilet bowl or picking hair from the floor to eat 🤦🏻♀️ This has been our new normal and we have accepted and embraced that though productivity is at an all-time low, love and bliss is abundant ♥️ But that doesn’t mean I don’t miss working properly at the office/a co-working space! Totally forgot how it’s like to have clear train of thoughts and work momentum 😂

Fwah, I got a surprise when I saw the first picture because the girls totally nailed their zombie poses while the rest of us, well, I guess we tried our best to be scary. Haha.
SpookyTown makes a comeback in KidZania Singapore and in this second edition, it's a Masquerade Hunt which promises lots of exciting fun for the little ones. They received a case file and were tasked to search for the town's missing Mayor Fabiola by picking up clues along the way. Our favourite activity was the Mansion which reminds us of the Haunted House last year but with the spook factor lowered - meaning it was all very kid-friendly and fun! They had to climb through small spaces and find the combination to a lock before they could escape out of the mansion and they were so excited when they did. Maybe we can start going to family-friendly escape rooms already, hor? That is something I definitely look forward to with the kids.
It's the first time we attempted a zombie get-up and I have to say it felt so special because the kids were the ones who helped draw the veins and fake blood for us. So fun! See my highlights for more. The hubby and I also took the opportunity to let our hair down, dress up and felt like kids once more. Haha. Hope that we can always be fun parents, no matter how old we get.
SpookyTown 2 takes place on 25-27 Oct, 1-2 Nov and 8-9 Nov from 6:30-10:00pm. Don't forget to dress up as the Best-Dressed family will walk away with some fantastic prizes. Have as much fun this Halloween as we did!

"Aomori, Japan. 1936. Prisoner Yoshie Shiratori had had enough. He was forced to confess to a murder he did not commit, falsely imprisoned in Aomori Prison, beaten and tortured every night by prison guards, and, now worse, prosecutors were seeking the death penalty. In his mind, it was time to go; but Aomori Prison wasn’t the easiest to escape. Regardless, Yoshie Shiratori had nothing to lose, and so at 5:30 am he made his move. He knew there would be a 15 minute gap in the patrol time as he had studied the guards’ routine for months; and when the coast was clear, he pulled out a metal wire (which he had smuggled in from the bathhouse) and started to pick the lock. (This was originally the metal support ring that was wrapped around the bathing buckets inmates used to wash themselves). His hands were stiff from the wintry cold, but after a few minutes of picking, he had success, and his cell door swung open. But he wasn’t out of the woods yet, because there were more locked doors ahead. He knew he only had a few minutes left before the guards would return, and so he wasted no time attempting to pick his way through the remaining security doors. Now fortunately for him, he was able to make it out of the facility, but the bad news was that he was only halfway to freedom. You see, he was still well within the search perimeter, which meant at any moment the alarm could go off and he’d still be caught. At 5:45am the guards returned, peering into his cell; and this is what they saw - Shiratori sound asleep in his futon bed..."
I pick a bicycle lock with hairpins. I lost my keys for my bicycle lock about 6plus months ago. So i tried ways to cut the lock but it didn't work. So i watch a how to pick lock video. And somehow managed to open my lock with hairpins!! So excited when i finally open it haha!!
