A great introduction to math for little ones, this is a simple yet fun game that makes use of many multi-coloured tiles, which will totally delight the kids. Each player gets a set of number tiles and is tasked to connect all the tiles using the communal operation tiles (+,- and =). First to finish wins!

The girls love challenging each other in this game before they go to bed at night and I love how it motivates them to practise simple arithmetics and become quicker at solving equations involving addition and subtraction. It can get a little challenging at the end when only a few tiles are left and this helps to hone their analytical and decision making skills too.

As for the toddler, he gets to play too! The instruction booklet comes with activities at the back, which are mini-games such as counting animal legs and corners of shapes. These help him to recognise, practise and have confidence when it comes to numbers.

We also love how everything, including the booklet and 86 tiles, can be conveniently kept inside a cute blue whale pouch so we can easily bring it out and play during our pockets of free time.

Ingredients:
75g starter (tripled, use at peak)
150g all purpose flour
60g water (room temperature)
15g caster sugar
6g vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)
Red bean paste
Natural food colour powders

Method:
1. Mix all ingredients
2. Knead dough till smooth and shiny
3. Colour and shape dough into desired sushi shapes
4. 190g White - main dough (30g each with 15g red bean paste as filling), prawn and fish veins
5. 50g Black - seaweed and sesame seeds
6. 10g Yellow - egg
7. 10g Red - tuna
8. 15g Orange - salmon and prawn
9. 8g Dark orange - salmon roe
10. 10g Brown - inari
11. Let dough proof for about 2 hours at 28C
12. Wrap the lid of the steamer with cloth
13. Bring water to a rolling boil
14. Steam buns at medium heat for 9 minutes
15. Turn off heat and let the buns sit inside the steamer for 5 minutes, lid closed
16. Remove buns from steamer
17. Enjoy

The Solid Knitting Machine is a new, innovative take on the classic craft of knitting. This machine is set to be improved and will soon be possible to craft and update objects based on inputted 3D data.
Knitting can be thought of as digital, where the composition of the knitted object is constructed by the organization of individual stitches. This digital essence allows us to undo, reknit, and copy using a knitting pattern. Currently, knitting is only used to make fabric or cloth, but if it can make shapes with solid centers, it could be used to make other physical, solid objects such as chairs or desks. For example, you could unravel a chair, return it to its original yarn, and update it into a desk. This is solid knitting. The Solid Knitting Machine will automate that process.

編み物は、１目１目の集合によって全体を構成する、まさしくデジタルなものづくりです。

編み物は現状布地をつくることにのみ使われていますが、これで中身の詰まった立体をつくることができれば、このデジタルな性質を机や椅子といった「かたいもの」にも応用できます。
たとえば、椅子をほどいて元の糸に戻し、その糸を机に編み直すといったことができるようになります。これがソリッド編みです。

Checking out rigs on Amazon I spotted the Movo SV1000 https://amzn.to/2wClXPT which is a foldable modular rig for $15 USD and bought one to check it out first, so you don't have to.

Its does what is says and can me made into a selfie stick, tophandle, gunstock rig or even a cage that can be collapse into a small package under the camera. However it only locks down in 45 degrees sections making it hard to get it into more comfy shapes. Also the sections shapes are not particularly shaped nicely to hold.

Well it does it job and it is quite sturdy just not really comfy, so it really depends if you go for ergonomics or the functions.
