After @sk.saki and @joenapol, previously of @8020bkk haven't slowed since moving on to exciting new pastures, with Saki's luscious brand of icecreams @yora.bkk and the couple's new "Samlor" @samlor.bkk , a new casual Thai Restaurant & Bar under the +66 Banner which menu accommodates to local glam" Gub glam" (กับแกล้ม), favourite drinking foods, are now delivering their meals in box sets for multiple hungry peeps!
Menu switches- up every week as the Saki and Joe lead their kitchen team into murkier drinking food delights. We tried Samlor’s smoked Kaa Moo
The kit comes in a cardboard box with neatly packaged components in zip-lock pouches, all labelled by hand and 'warming up' instructions available via their QR code. We could tell from the the get-go we were in for a grand, casual meal. At the hands of those responsible for Michelin restaurant's star who would have doubt.
The Kaa Moo (Stewed Pork leg) for starters is enormous! As it's warming up, herbs & spices hit you from every direction and there is very little need to for your knife, the fork easily folds through the thick layers of fat and ridiculously juicy meat. Best of all, it's not spicy, so its easy to share with those with an aversion for hot chili.
The rice cooked in bamboo contains chunks of taro and other indescribable natural fragrant enhancers, and also accompanied with super smoky grilled kale and a side of pickled veg. Most memorable however was the Paloe (5 spice) eggs! The eggs, are soaked through to the yolk in a richly savory Chinese spices mix, and the yolk itself is the ultimate prize of the meal, creamy and oh-so succulent!

Crystal Jade là tập đoàn ẩm thực từ Singapore với 30 năm tuổi đời, đạt nhiều giải thưởng quốc tế (Michelin star, Michein Bib Gourmand) và được yêu thích tại thị trường Châu Á. Ninh thì ăn vịt quay Bắc Kinh nhiều rồi nhưng đây là một trong những nhà hàng chế biến và serve món này chuẩn chỉnh nhất Hà Nội luôn đó.
Thế nên vào đây các bạn chắc chắn phải thử vịt quay nhé, ưng nhất là lớp da vàng ươm, bóng đẹp ăn giòn rụm, uiii. Ninh thấy vịt ở đây được chao mỡ nóng giòn vỏ ngoài và bên trong thịt vẫn giữ được sự mềm mọng. Món da vịt cuốn bánh pía dai mềm chấm cùng sốt chấm có vị ngọt nhẹ ăn lạ miệng nhưng ngon, hồi nhỏ hay xem trên phim Hongkong cứ bị thèm mãi mới được ăn :))
Ninh có gọi ăn thử thêm tôm sú hấp tỏi, thịt ba rọi cải mầm tay cầm, đậu hà lan xào sò điệp tàu xì, đậu hũ chiên tiêu và xíu mại tôm thịt. Phải công nhận là các món đều ổn, chất lượng đồng đều.
Ninh khá ưng món thịt ba rọi cải mầm tay cầm, món này chính là thịt khâu nhục ý, phần thịt không bị mỡ quá, được ninh mềm nên mình thấy món này ăn với cơm nóng là hết ý nha.
Phần tôm sú hấp tỏi với một chút miến và dầu xì lạ nha, mới thấy ở mỗi CJ có nè, tôm tươi ngọt, vừa chín nên có kết cấu giòn giòn, dậy mùi thơm của tỏi.
Túm lại là các món ăn ở đây chất lượng, chuẩn vị Hongkong. Giá cả thì tầm 500K/người nhưng rất đáng tiền. Các bạn đến ăn còn thoải mái check in vì nhiều góc sống ảo lắm nha. Ninh thấy đây là một địa điểm hợp lý cho gia đình hay nơi hẹn hò hoặc gặp gỡ đối tác cũng rất lịch sự nè.

After getting its Michelin star back in January, The Chairman claimed the top spot for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2021 – a first for a Hong Kong restaurant – just two months later. Tucked away in a small side road at the back of the bustling Central district, the modern classic Cantonese eatery is owned by Danny Yip, a low-key veteran restaurateur who has managed to stay out of the limelight until recent years. “Food is always our centre of attention. Because whenever we struggle to take care of everything else, we always consider: how much time can we actually spend in the kitchen during the year? We want to put all our energy on our food, especially during the first few years,” Yip says.
Little Meg, a top food influencer with over 159,000 followers on Instagram and one of the Tokyo guides featured in Netflix’s foodie docuseries “Ugly Delicious”, is one of the most frequent regulars of The Chairman. She has dined at the small restaurant at least 37 times within nine months since June last year. “Chinese cuisine used to lack certain finesse, but The Chairman has successfully filled the gaps over the past decade. For instance, Chinese dishes were often cooked with stock or a lot of sauces, but The Chairman decided not to go down the same route. They establish their own flavors with their own techniques,” Little Meg says.
