On June 8, 2012 professional Muay Thai fighter, Daniel Ketley was
involved in a serious accident that would hinder his profession. What happened that night is still unclear, on the way to a friend's home one night Ketley remembered it raining and that's where it stops.
To the blind eye it looks like a motorbike accident, however his motorbike had no scrapes, either, the only damage being to the front, consistent with being hit by something, and the two rear view mirrors were smashed. Ketley's T-shirt and jeans he was wearing at the time were wet from the rain, but had no mud, gravel, rips or damage.

It is believed he was hit on the head several times with something hard and then robbed of his wallet, with 400 THB inside, his insurance ID card and his mobile phone.

Ketley suffered a fractured skull which required 45 stitches, haemorrhaging and compression on the brain, air bubbles in the brain, a shattered eye socket, jaw broken in three places, four lost teeth, a fractured vertebra, nerve damage to his neck and shoulder, and a fracture in the skull between his nose and upper lip. He spent five hours in surgery undergoing facial reconstruction.

Ketley's injury in Brachial Plexus, a tearing of the nerves from the neck of the spinal chord, which has caused him to lose the use of his right arm.

His goal is to be a Muay Thai champion and this injury is not going to stop his dream. You can still see Ketley hitting pads and doing bag work with one good arm at Tiger Muay Thai. I'll get back in the ring with one arm, I prefer two, but I'll get back in with one arm." said Ketley

Last Day for registration to compete at the Nevertap Asia grappling tournament is Friday March 26th at 7:30 PM. Registration closes at 7:30 PM. You can register online or in person at the official day before weigh ins held at the Tiger Muay Thai Grill between 6:30-7:30 PM on the 26th of March.
March 27th will be the Nevertap Asia Tournament

Second weigh ins will begin Saturday 27th March at 10am and are closed at 11am. You must make weight by 11am. *NOTE: Competitors only need to make the competition weight once. We are holding two weigh ins for individuals interested in cutting weight to compete* Rules meeting starts at 11:30, and matches will begin shortly after a brief warm up period.

The first round of the Nevertap tournament is double elimination. This means you are guaranteed a minimum of two matches. If you lose your first match you will be bumped into a losers bracket. The winner of the losers bracket will face the winner of the original bracket in the finals for each weight division. After your first match if you lose you are eliminated from the tournament.

As an added free service to the competitors of Nevertap Asia, D-Bauchery Films will be on site to record all the matches and photograph the event. All matches will be uploaded onto youtube free of charge and the photos captured from the days event will be available on fightingthai.com.

Anyone signed up for training sessions at the Tiger Muay Thai facility-or registered online to compete in the tournament before March 22nd will recieve a discounted tournament registration price of 1,500thb.

Registrations done in person, or online after the 22nd will cost 1,700THB. Sign up to attend the after tournament BBQ BEATDOWN online-and recieve a special limited addition Nevertap Asia T-shirt.
March 27th After Party BBQ and Fights BBQ Beatdown

After the tournament the TMT BBQ will start at 7:30. Tickets for the BBQ can be purchased in the TMT office for 350 baht. The BBQ will be a buffett style, and will include soda, and keg beer.

The fights will start around 8:00-8:30 and admission is included in the BBQ cost. If you are interested in competing in the amateur MMA fights please email magicalray@aol.com with name-weight-experience-and any videos you may have available.
