Our God is a powerful God who multiplied what is little into much. His strength is demonstrated perfectly in our weaknesses.

Today I want to speak declarative prayers with you. If you feel like you’re lacking in any of these areas, pray with me:

For finances: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my poverty is shifting to abundance of provision according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. I am becoming well-supplied so I can be a blessing to others and abound in generous, good works!

For health: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my sickness is shifting to overflowing resurrection life and health in my body. The law of the Spirit of Life governs my body, manifesting eternal life!

For marriage: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my estranged marriage is shifting to rivers of love. My marriage is becoming like how Jesus loves the church—self-sacrificial and unconditionally loving!

For singles: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my loneliness is shifting to a fulfillment in a God-appointed relationship. Thank You for arranging opportunities for me to meet a fellow believer who is good for me. I declare that this will not be a waste of time that leads to heartbreak—it shall be fruitful and lasting as I respect the covenant of marriage you designed.

For children: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my wayward child is shifting to a child who honors his parents and believes that he/she is God’s beloved. Our relationship is becoming better than ever before by your Grace!

For career/business: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my lackluster performance at work is shifting to excellence in skill and wisdom. You are blessing the work of my hands with Your favor and causing all Grace to abound towards me. Let my success at work glorify and testify of You!

For ministry: Dear Abba Father, I declare that my ineffective ministry is shifting to one that is filled with the preaching of the true Gospel, accompanied by Your powerful confirming signs and wonders, which lead to great harvests of souls for Your kingdom. Magnify and glory Jesus as I minister with greater anointing, revelation and grace gifts in the Holy Spirit!

For character: Dear Abba Father, I declare that the characters flaws I exhibit in my flesh are being replaced by the fruits of the Spirit. As I rest in Jesus’ finished work and follow the Holy Spirit, help me to overflow with godliness and good works to glorify You!

For these prayers, we say together: “In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!”

2 things I learnt in this chapter of growth:⁣
⁣
1. To not be afraid to 𝐫𝐞-𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 (even if it means muting/unfollowing certain accounts)⁣
2. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥.⁣
⁣

They say that an unhealed person can find offence in pretty much anything someone else does. 𝐀 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.⁣
⁣
Choose to be the latter.⁣
But also remember that⁣
Healing takes time (& patience)⁣
It doesn’t mean the damage never existed.⁣
It means the damage no longer controls our lives.⁣

I can’t heal you, but here’s my prayer for you.⁣

Dear God,⁣
⁣
I pray for all those who have been tried and tested this season. I ask that you heal their hurts and wounds; heal their bodies, their hearts, their souls. I ask that you give them the strength to move on, to fulfil their destiny and claim their highest potential this season.⁣
⁣
Bless all those who have given so generously and unconditionally, and restore a new-found joy, peace and hope, as they embrace this chapter with new purpose in life.⁣
⁣
Provide all the resources they need (virtues, joy, health, finances, people) to overcome the challenges ahead. And bless them abundantly so that they can continue to bless and make the difference in the lives of all those around them.⁣

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
(Psalm 27:13, NIV)

David was going through a tough time when he made the declaration in today’s verse. Things weren’t going his way. But he said in effect, “I’m not worried. I’m not upset. I am confident I will see God’s goodness.” In other words, “This situation I’m in may be rough, but that’s not going to steal my vision. That’s not going to cause me to give up on my dreams. I am confident that this year, I will see God’s favor in a new way.”

That’s what our attitude needs to be today because what you focus on is what you will see. No matter what the medical report says, no matter what your finances look like, no matter how bad that relationship may seem, be confident that you will see His goodness! He is the all-powerful, omniscient Creator of the universe, and He holds you in the palm of His hand. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Take hold of this truth by faith and focus on His goodness today. Allow His peace to settle in your heart and mind as you move forward in His blessing all the days of your life!

“Father in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. I choose to focus on You today no matter what my circumstances may look like. Give me Your peace as I keep my mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.“
