Shimanami Kaido is Japan’s first cycling road crossing the strait in the Seto Inland Sea. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tiny dotted islands on the sea from the cycling road.
今日は晴天のもと、「しまなみ海道」にいました！
美しい景色を皆様にも！！
Shimanami Kaido is one of Japan's most famous cycling routes connecting the main island Honshu with Shikoku.
Ever since I heard about this bikeway a few months ago, I knew I had to travel there some day to experience it for myself!!
So, I packed up my bags, bought a Shinkansen ticket and took a spontaneous trip down to Onomichi, Hiroshima.
Shimanami Kaido Bikeway runs between Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture and Imabari in Ehime Prefecture, hopping across 6 islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
You can start your journey from either the Hiroshima side or the Ehime side. I started from the Hiroshima side because the views get better and better as you go along towards Ehime.

今日のグルメリポート。
しまなみ海道でおいしいものを食べてきました。
KHSの折りたたみ自転車の輪行でサイクリングしたしまなみ海道ですが、走る楽しさだけでなくて、瀬戸内のおいしいものもたくさんたのしめます。
今治から一つ橋を渡ったところでは、海鮮バーベキュー。
おいしそうな食材を買って焼いて食べます。
道の駅 よしうみいきいき館。
有名な伯方の塩の、ソフトクリームやシャーベット。
マリンオアシス はかた。
温暖な気候で栽培した柑橘類のジェラート。
あと、タコもおいしいらしいんですが、これは行ってないの。
生口島のジェラートは、瀬戸田・手造りジェラート ドルチェさん。
甘くて酸っぱくておいしい。
泊まった宿の食事はもう海の幸いっぱいでした。
旅館茶梅。
お造り、焼き魚、煮魚、揚げ魚...。
焼きと煮と揚げはそれぞれを、一人に一匹づつつくんだもん。
多いよぉ。
どれもおいしいので残さず食べちゃうからおなかいっぱいですって。
ご飯は鯛飯でしたけど、食られなくなっちゃいました。
そしたら、女将が握ってくれたので、それを部屋に持って帰って夜食にしました。
しまなみ海道は気持ちの良いサイクリングコースなので、走るだけでも楽しめますが、こんな自転車以外のおいしい楽しみ方はいかがですか？
新幹線の駅弁、広島あなごめしはおまけ。
I've been eat something delicious in Shimanami kaido.
I came to cycling in the KHS folding bike .
Not only cycling, but I enjoy a lot of delicious things of the Seto Inland Sea.
Seafood barbecue.
The foods which seem to be delicious are bought, grilled and eaten.
Meal of the inn I stayed was full of seafood.
Sashimi, grilled fish, boiled fish, fried fish ....
One at a time to one person, respectively.
So many.
It is all delicious.
So I ate without leaving.
The belly is full.
Very delectable.
