Have a little art lover?

Pack a mini craft kit for long waits at the restaurant, dr visits, road trips, church or anywhere you just need a fun quiet activity for your busy toddler!!

I find that this can keep my 2-year old entertained for a while, enough to share with a friend but not too many pieces that it'll get lost in the fun and chaos.

I like to mix and match with quality and affordable so scour my local dollar-store (Daiso) and favorite toy store, Janie & Joe for treasures!

The key to picking gems for your kit are -

EASY BUT BUSY
Something they can do by themselves but still requires a bit of effort on their part so they stay engaged as they figure it out and enjoy the challenge like kid scissors, shape puncher, etc

COLORFUL + ATTRACTIVE
It has to be fun!!

SMALL BUT BIG
Lightweight/small enough to travel w but not too small it's dangerous if unsupervised

FOLLOW THEIR INTERESTS!
This is key to building the best case. What does your little one like? Ella Grace is currently really into vehicles so I have a lot of vehicle themed stuff, she also currently really likes tape, stamping and cutting and they are perfect little on-the-go fine motor skill building fun!

Ella Grace picked her neon pink carry case and I love that they have simple snaps that keep it all in but also let her tiny hands be "in charge" of opening, closing, storing, cleaning up, putting away. Plastic is great because it's easy to clean!

Said 'I Do' toy best friend last weekend! Just wanna share about these 2 lovelies beside us. The bridesmaid in green, Peggy; and the wedding singer in mustard yellow, Tendayi.
Peggy is from HK and Tendayi is from Zimbabwe(lives in South Africa). They were both church friends, small group core team pals, housemates, and most of all covenant friends of mine in Australia. We really did large of portion of our lives together.
So touched that they came all the way to little Alor Setar for the wedding. We caught up over all the craziness of the preparation and had lots of laughs.
I love my friends. Relationships mean a lot to me, even when we are scattered all over the world. Covenant friends are hard to find, so treasure them when you find them!
