We say we want justice, we have rights, we want freedom, we want to be heard, we want love, we care about the children.
Let’s be honest, we are a city that wants and wants—every side just wants what they want. But are we willing to understand, to listen and put our shoes in another?
Are we willing to love?
Nothing wrong with our choice no matter what it is. But every choice starts with self—it is a reflection of how much we are willing to care and love ourselves. Everything we see on the outside is just a simple reflection of how we are with ourselves.
How much care do we give our body when we rush it, demand it, disregard its needs, dismiss its feelings, hold back what it wants to say, hide, criticize ourselves and others, laugh at anothers’ misfortune as our entertainment, attack with jealousy in our own lack of confidence? In other words, how are we living? Do we know there will be consequences to each and every one of our choices? And these choices affect everyone.
The consequence to this is struggle, violence and bloodshed we have witnessed that—both internally and outwardly. We are hurting as we have chosen to first hurt ourselves. Ouch.
What we say we want, we cannot wait for anyone to give us. Not our other half nor our government. Blaming is giving our power away on a plate with our own two hands, and guess what? It is our own choice.
Only by being honest and truly seeing our own responsibility and living it out, will we start to feel our own power. Thus, no one is trying to harm us—only we can bring harm or love to our own lives.
React not in the lovelessness of another, but be love ourselves.
If love is what we want (it is not selfish but responsibility to start from self, as how could we know how to love another without feeling that for ourselves?) it has to start from us. It is never ever too late to love. And we are not alone in this.
It is our choice whether love, joy, harmony and stillness is our world from now on or not.
