「六坑斜坡索道」及「無極索道」是昔日金瓜石礦區用來載運礦產的眾多台車索道之一。
當年金瓜石礦區為了因應地形而設置各種運輸工具，包括輕便台車道、空中索道、斜坡索道等設施，以利運送礦產及物資。
隨著民國七十六年（1987），台金公司結束採礦事業，礦坑封閉，設備棄置， 昔日這些負責運輸任務的台車索道亦被廢棄，而漸漸堙滅於山林裡。
六坑斜坡索道及無極索道是金瓜石至今保存較為完整的索道遺跡。 索道的上方入口位於勸濟堂上方的停車場旁，由此直下斜坡至本山六坑，為六坑斜坡索道。由本山六坑續往十三層選礦場遺址的索道， 為無極索道，途中經過兩座隧道（南隧道及北隧道），最後抵達十三層遺址上方的停車場。

劍龍稜為東北角黃金十稜之一，以刺激攀爬、景色超優為山友津津樂道。
由台2線入口繞過警備隊樓房，沿溪行過大涵管後陡上至稜線，回望來時路，展望超優，南子吝山、基隆山、水湳洞、太平洋盡收眼底，登龍背而小天下。稜線上排成一列的巨大岩塊直指天空，手腳並用跨過巨岩瘦稜，不禁為有懼高症的山友捏把冷汗，請鼓起勇氣小心通過。555峰為劍龍稜的最高點，拉繩下切近75度的岩坡，續接茶壺山步道，輕鬆賞景、步行至登山口，若還不過癮，可連走半屏山、燦光寮山或鋸齒稜。
