Water is Coming to you

“He said, “Yahweh says, ‘Make this valley full of trenches.’ For Yahweh says, ‘You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals. This is an easy thing in Yahweh’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand. You shall strike every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.’” In the morning, about the time of offering the sacrifice, behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water. Now when all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them, they gathered themselves together, all who were able to put on armor, young and old, and stood on the border. They rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone on the water, and the Moabites saw the water opposite them as red as blood. They said, “This is blood. The kings are surely destroyed, and they have struck each other. Now therefore, Moab, to the plunder!” When they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and struck the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land attacking the Moabites.” (2 Kings‬ ‭3:16-24‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Israel army coalition had no water to drink for seven days. They were thirsty and asked the prophet Elisha to inquire of the Lord Yahweh.

The Lord’s instruction was to make the valley full of trenches, in preparation to collect the water.

Yet you may wonder where is the water going to come from if there is no wind or rain?

Sometimes, when the Lord asks you to get into position, just do it without trying to reason it out.

He said to make the valley full of trenches, meaning GET READY TO RECEIVE.

How much water do you want to catch? The more trenches you dig, the more water you will store, if not the water will come, but it will just flow away.

The Lord allows you to choose how much you want to act upon His rhema word. If you have faith, you will make the valley of your life full of trenches, ready to receive from Him.

The water came by the way of Edom. It is not your job to know how the water comes. The point is, the water WILL come because the Lord has commanded it.

The water had a double purpose for the Israel coalition. It satiated their thirst, and it also became an important military tactic used by the Lord to defeat Israel’s enemies.

The water that you collect in the coming days will enable you to defeat enemies in your life.

Everyone’s “trenches” are different—you will know what yours is. Whatever the Lord has put into your heart to do, remember that you can choose how much water you will collect, based on how many trenches you make.

Do not waste time questioning, “How will the water come? How is it possible?” The water is coming so it is time to get in position!

The month of May was when we entered Phase 2 (Heightened Alert). Schools closed a week before the June holidays hit and the kids switched to Home Based Learning. Social gatherings were limited to two persons instead of five. Once again, dining in was not allowed for four weeks, meaning that we either had to cook, dabao or order food delivery.

To be frank, it all sounds kind of familiar since we've already been through the Circuit Breaker last year, right? I guess that is why despite being saddened to hear the announcement, many of us were more at ease and less panicky this time round, knowing that we had to play our part to reduce the number of community cases.

For us, we stayed home most of the time except for taking occasional walks in the nature parks, which were kind of the only places we were comfortable to visit since there would be no crowd. While having a baby and three older siblings means it was basically mayhem at home all day long, it was also the reason why we never had a dull moment and every day brought with it a new set of surprises.

In this post of "Happiness is...", it's about finding joy in staying home. This joy usually comes in the small things and the fleeting moments, but all you need to do is to open your heart and you will not just see it, but feel it too.

大家今天音樂會有沒有意猶未盡的感覺？
這不就來了！音樂會結束之後還有cover可以看啦，是線上安可的概念（寵粉無極限）

雖然是首關於注定分離無法有快樂結局的歌曲，要用小提琴同時表達惆悵的蟬和淡然遠去的飛鳥真的好難，但不是要大家不斷傷感，而是更珍惜身邊的人！

世界上沒有不痛苦的分開，彼此走散有太多種樣子，而且後來用多少力量都無法阻擋離別。
如果明白離別是無可避免，也明白遊戲規則就是如此殘忍痛苦，而我們也無法習慣離別，那麼至少好好告別吧。好好記得轉身前最後一刻，彼此的樣子。

2020是讓很多人感到沮喪的一年，「活在當下、珍惜所有」雖然是已經被說到爛的台詞，但相信對於每個人還是有各自的意義。生活中每一個選擇都是成就自己的模樣的一部分，希望大家都可以把自己打理好，由外而內、再由裡而外喜歡珍惜並享受每一個自己當下的姿態，以這樣美好的樣子面對人生不期而遇的溫暖，並且以這樣的狀態成為某個人的限量版快樂與守候。

Yah, I know you want more for my music tonight, so here comes the cover 😉

Though it's a song about the doomed separation and no happy ending at all, I do not mean to keep everyone sad!
There is no painless separation, and there are too many ways to say good bye to each other even we try damn hard to stop such goodbye. But if we all know that saying good bye is the destination, and that the rules of the world are so cruel, at least we can say goodbye in a good way, maybe? Try to remember the best last moment before turning our heads away.

2020 is a year that makes many people feel depressed. "Live in the moment and cherish everything" is such a cliche, but I still believe it has its own meaning for everyone.
Hope everyone can take care of themselves, from the outside in, and then from the inside out, cherish and enjoy yourself in every moment. Try to face and hug unexpected surprise in the life as it is and become the one and only limited edition happiness for someone in your best status.

*Meaning of the song's title:
Yume = "dream"
Tourou = "lantern"
There is a tradition called "tourou nagashi" where a paper lantern is set afloat during the last day of the O-bon festival. The lantern lights the way for the souls of the departed to cross back into the afterlife after they visit at O-bon (hopefully I'm correct in the details). So I think this title is meant to give the image of a lantern lighting the way into or out of a dream. I think this song really only makes sense in the context of the movie :)
