[#文法解惑] [#高小英語] [#初中英語] “To +不定式”組成的名詞短語，可以放在開首嗎？
To-infinitive可以用以組成noun phrase（名詞片語），不過如果並非講一些等同金科玉律的大道理，很少會用在句子開首。經典例子：英國詩人蒲伯 Alexander Pope 講的話：“To err is human; to forgive divine.”（人誰無錯，唯神能恕。）就是選用這個句式。
一般來說，如果要用到to-infinitive做名詞片語，就會放在句子較後的位置，句子開首常用Introductory it做主詞。
例句："It is hard to listen to my teacher speak. There's a construction going on nearby our school."
這裏的It可以說是“To listen to my teacher speak”的分身。如果硬要把 “to listen to my teacher speak” 放在句子的開首，句子變成"To listen to my teacher speak is hard. There's a construction
going on nearby our school."雖然理論上不算錯，但彷彿在表達「聽不到老師說話」是永恆的、放諸四海皆準的真相一樣，非常奇怪。

不定詞的功能是當名詞、形容詞、副詞
因為可以當名詞 所以可以拿來當主詞、主詞補語、受詞
(當主詞) To err is human ; to forgive is divine
(當主詞補語) To see is to believe
(當受詞) He refused to lend me any money
(當形容詞) He has many things to tell you 形容詞修飾前面的things
(當副詞) The book is easy to understand 副詞修飾前面的easy
到這裡都還看的懂 但看到下面幾句後 就開始搞糊塗了
He promised his father (to study hard) 這裡的不定詞是用來做promise的直接受詞

She often helps her mom (to cook dinner) 書裡把不定詞當做是受詞補語

可是我怎麼看都覺得(to cook dinner)應該是當做help的受詞才對 為什麼是當受詞補語?
to cook dinner 是用來修飾媽媽的話 那這句話不就要翻譯成 她幫正在煮晚餐的媽媽
那她要幫媽媽料理晚餐要怎麼說?
I didn't expected him to come 這時候的句子架構又是如何?
我認為是(to come) 一樣是受詞
