Michele Laurita expertly invents fantastical, dreamlike worlds from her imagination. Her visual language speaks volumes through provocative color palettes, innovative styling and dynamic sound design. Michele’s love for photography was first sparked when her father gifted her a 35mm camera, encouraging Michele to document her life as a child actress. At the just 8 years old she could be found practicing her eye in the darkroom, reveling in those magical moments when paper becomes print.
Michele’s photography continues to stir our imagination, often occupying the space between fashion and fine art. She has created imagery for select clients such as 20th Century Fox, HBO, Warner Brothers, Dolce & Gabanna, Levi’s, Elle Magazine, Interview Magazine, Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar Spain, Vanity Fair Spain, GQ Italia, MTV, Electra Records, and Capitol Records.

#失身記首度踏上非洲大陸
於今日 (06/18) 北非突尼西亞加貝斯🇹🇳 (Gabes) 開展囉！
“ #Bodyless ” set foot in Africa for the very first time, participating in the Gabès Cinéma Fen festival in Tunisia!
GCFEN (Gabès Cinéma Fen) is an annual film festival event in North Africa since 2019. The goal is to establish a dialogue among the film industry, visual art, and virtual reality, and also hold events for filmmakers and practitioners to exchange ideas. GCFEN is held in Gabes, a city in southeastern Tunisia. From the perspective of art, the festival cooperates with the local cultural and environmental organizations closely to rethink and relocate the position of the city in order to cope with coming challenges in the future.
There are a total of 70 films, with 15 VR films, which will be shown in the GCFEN this year. “Bodyless” was invited to represent Taiwan. With intriguing historical content and contagious scores, “Bodyless” can no doubt build an unconventional visual and auditory landscape, different from traditional films, for African audiences to experience.
GCFEN （Gabès Cinéma Fen）位於北非地區一年一度的影展盛事，自2019年開辦以來今年為第三屆，影展目標是建立電影領域、視覺藝術與虛擬現實之間的對話，也舉辦電影從業人員彼此交流的聚會活動！GCFEN在突尼西亞東南部的城市——加貝斯（Gabes）舉行， 並與加貝斯的文化和在地環境協會合作，以藝術作為出發點，來重新思考這座城市的定位與面臨的未來挑戰。
今年GCFEN 共有70部電影參與展出，其中有15部VR作品，《失身記》受邀作為台灣的VR代表作品，其中引人入勝的歷史文本，以及極具渲染力的配樂，相信可為非洲的觀眾展現出不同於電影與視覺藝術的視覺體驗，跳脫既定視覺及聽覺想像空間！
