INTRODUCING: SPARTAN MALAYSIA AMBASSADOR 2018
Spartans! Next up in the Spartan Malaysia Ambassador 2018 introduction, we have Muhammad Khubaib a.k.a Wacky Beat!
Read on further to find out more about him:
1. How did you first find out about the Spartan movement.
I got to know Spartan Race from friends who were into OCR. I decided to give it a shot, without telling any of them! (HAHA)
2. What's your motivation in staying the Spartan course?
What motivates me the most is when you’re not the only one seeing the changes happening to you. When others started to notice the difference and how great you feel – like how my stamina has greatly improved and my muscles have toned up. That’s a great motivation for me. Lastly, the hopes of achieving the Trifecta pushes me harder.
3. What is your biggest challenge running the Spartan obstacles?
The biggest challenge for me is on obstacles that requires the strength of both hands – the effect of the breaking of my left elbow and wrist a few years ago. As such, my left bones and muscles is much weaker than my right hand. Nevertheless, I push on and I do my best as I take on the Spartan obstacles.
4. What steps are you taking to achieve your Spartan goals thus far?
My greatest aim is to become a podium finisher in the Spartan Race. I train to improve on my stamina and strength. I go to the gym more often and focus on cardio and weight training to help me on these areas.
For me, there is no short cut. Train hard, trust the process, don't give up and success will be yours!
Race with Wacky Beat at the upcoming Putrajaya Trifecta Weekend happening on 28-29 July 2018.
