She was special in my life.. She had given trust, freedom, encouragement, care and love to me since I was born. I was brought to her at 3 days old.. She took care of me till I was 15 years old before I moved back home with my parents.
Yes my Poh Poh. Many of my friends met her and know how lovely she was. She left me 10 years ago. She used to attend all my shows even in her wheelchair. She always thought I am forever in a competition in every show. She would ask "Did you win?" after the show. She was proud of me.
I am grateful to have such a Grandmother who had given me so much freedom to so what i wanted to do. She allowed me to go clubbing on weekends if I am honest to her who I will be hanging out with and that I will not do stupid things behind her back. She knew all my friends.. She had given me trust and I became more responsible because I knew I can not let her down. She trained me to be independant and be who I am today.
She used to make me do all the flower arrangements for her prayer desk vases.. Eventhough she was a florist herself. I knew why.. She wanted me to express myself thru floral art.
She taught me to be humble.. To not compare myself with others..Do my own, earn my own money....
She lend me RM3000 when I had decided to come out on my own in year 2000 to start my own business.. I managed to buy my very first sewing machine and hired the first staff. She was such an amazing Grandma.. She was like a friend who I can talk to.. Joke about.. And if my children are not well.. She would be my personal doctor!
I miss her daily and dearly..
