We've been playing so much this June holidays but just before it ends, I think it will be awesome if we get to donate to charity, help those in need and remind the kids that they too, can do their part for society.
Have you ever wondered how a food charity operates behind the scene or what it takes for your food donations to reach those in need? Food from the Heart (FFTH), a local food charity that feeds the needy, is hosting its first ever Open House. You can help FFTH raise $10,000 by turning up. The charity will receive $10 for every visitor at the Open House, pledged by kind sponsors, so Come and Be Counted!
FFTH is also seeking to raise 36,000 items for its monthly Community Food Pack programme that feeds 3,600 families. The donation wish list includes:
- Rice (1 - 2kg packs)
- Canned fish/chicken
- Biscuits
- Bread spreads, e.g. peanut butter, kaya
- Malt drinks, e.g. Milo, Horlicks, Ovaltine
