Today (5/24/2019)was the first day of legalized same-sex (gay) marriage in Taiwan. Marriage equality was passed by the legislature last Friday (5/17), and signed into law earlier this week.
今天(2019/05/17)是台灣同性結婚合法化的第一天. 立法院成功通過同婚法律在上個禮拜五(05/17).
I went to the group wedding event today in Taipei at the Xinyi Administration Center to support the brave people who decided to get married as soon as they possibly could.
我去台北市信義區行政中心的集體婚禮支持今天很勇敢地一可以結婚就結婚的新人.
In the park across from Taipei 101, the beautiful couples came together with family, friends, and complete strangers (like me) who support their love to celebrate.
在台北101對面的公園裡，美麗的幾對新人一起來在支持他們的愛的親戚、朋友、還有陌生人(像是我)的目前慶祝他們的愛.
It was a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding.
